What Is Plywood?

The plywood is a veneer or a thin plate which cut into a wooden section. and then bonded with an adhesive to form a plate-like material (usually an odd-numbered veneer). so that the directions of the fibers of the adjacent layers glued to each other. It is a used wood-based panel, usually with plywood, plywood and so on. The use of plywood to increase wood use is one of the main ways to save wood.

What Is  MDF?

Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is a kind of density fiberboard. It made of wood fiber or other vegetable fiber, prepared by fiber, applied with synthetic resin, and pressed under heat and pressure.

What is the difference between them?

1. Different Production Processes

The plywood is a three-layer or multi-layered plate-like material . which formed by cutting a wooden section into a veneer or by cutting it into a thin wood by wood. and then gluing with an adhesive. A MDF is a plate made by separating wood or other plants into fibers, using interlacing between fiber. and their own inherent bonding materials. or applying an adhesive under heat or pressure.

2, Product Classification Is Different

Plywood divided into four categories according to its bonding strength:

(1)Weather resistant, boiling water resistant plywood. These plywoods are durable, resistant to boiling or steam, and can used outdoors.

(2)Plywood is a water resistant plywood. that can immersed in cold water and impregnated with hot water for a short time.

(3)Plywood which can dipped in cold water for a short time and is suitable for indoor use at room temperature. Used in furniture and general construction purposes.

(4)Plywood are non-durable plywood and used under normal indoor conditions. The general purpose plywood made of

beech, eucalyptus, eucalyptus, ash, birch, elm, and poplar.

3, Performance Use Distinction

Plywood used for building construction, interior wall decoration and door panels. In the outer surface of the shape, such as

the curved shape. it has the characteristics of light weight and good bending property. MDF used in some fields such as furniture manufacturing, building materials. vehicle and ship manufacturing, and packaging materials. The surface of the plywood is not as smooth and flat as the surface of the MDF. the moisture content of the plywood is more stable than that of the MDF. and the plywood has better moisture resistance than the MDF, and the plywood is stronger than the MDF.
