(1) Definition Of Particle Board:

Melamine Particleboard panel is one of the more important and

more common man made panels, and is an important material for

the manufacture of wood products such as furniture. It is a sheet

made of wood shavings (such as wood shavings, flax, bagasse, etc.)

made of wood or non-wood plants with or without rubber and excipients. The production of 1 m3 particleboard requires 1.3 to 1.8

m3 of wood waste, while the 1 m3 particleboard used instead of 3 m3 of logs. Thus, the development of particleboard is an

important way to improve the comprehensive use of wood

and increase the supply of wood.

(2) What Is The Basis For The Classification Of Particleboard?

  According to its weight.

It divided into high bulk particleboard with a bulk density of

800-1200 Kg/m3, medium bulk particleboard with a bulk density

of 400-800 Kg/m3and low bulk particleboard with a bulk density of 250-400 Kg/m3. Generally speaking, the strength of high bulk density is high. Also high. In the furniture industry, most use medium-weight heavy particle board.

According to the use

It divided into Class A particle board (divided into

superior products, first-class products, second-class products) and B-type particle board (only one grade).

  According to the structure of the particle board.

It divided into single-layer structure particle board, three-

layer structure particle board, gradient structure particle board,

oriented strand board (OSB), waffle particle board and molded particle board. The single-layer structure particle board, that is, the

shavings in the slab, is of any size, and laid into slabs after gluing. The three-layer structure particle board is a thinner

and smaller special shavings for the surface of the slab. The amount of glue is more, and the core layer made of thick shavings such as waste shavings. The back surface is smooth, strong, and stable. Gradient structure particleboard refers to

the surface to the center of the particle board, the shavings

become thin to thick, and there is no clear boundary

between the surface layer and the core layer. The shavings in the slab of the OSB arranged in a certain direction. Waffle particle board refers to a large particle board.

   According to the surface condition.

It Can be divided into unfinished particle board (sanded or unsanded) and facing particle board (including impregnated paper finish, decorative laminate finish, veneer finish, surface finish, PVC finish).

  According to the materials used in the particle board.

It Can be divided into wood particle board, bagasse chipboard, linen chipboard, bamboo particle board, cement particle board, gypsum particle board and so on. Cement particleboard is a kind of material which is made of shavings and cement as the main raw material, which is made by mixing, forming, pressing and curing. It is a kind of excellent building material. Gypsum particleboard is somewhat similar to cement particleboard, replacing gypsum with cement.

(3) Particleboard Production Process:

The shavings must be dried, because if the water content of the shavings is high, the slabs are prone to defects such as bubbling and delamination during hot pressing, and more heat is consumed in order to evaporate excess water in the slab during hot pressing. The heat while reducing the productivity of the hot press. Generally, after the shavings are dried, the water content is 3 to 6%. At present, commonly used equipment for shaving drying, such as contact heated rotary cylinder dryer, rotor dryer, multi-layer belt dryer, suspension air dryer, jet dryer, and the like.

(4) Use Of Particle Board Adhesive:

The type of adhesive used in particleboard, the amount of glue applied, and the method of sizing are directly related to the strength, quality and production cost of the particleboard. As far as the type of adhesive is concerned, in the current production of particleboard, more synthetic resin is used. It mainly includes urea-formaldehyde resin glue and phenolic resin glue, and mainly urea-formaldehyde resin glue, and its form is liquid, powder and film.

(5) Hot Pressing Is An Important Process In The Production Process Of Particleboard.

Hot pressing refers to the particle board slab passing through the action of heat and pressure to make a certain weight and a certain thickness of the particle board. The basic function of the hot pressing has two aspects: curing the adhesive. The slab is compacted to the required thickness, and the pressure, temperature, and hot pressing time used for hot pressing affect the product quality of the particle board. For phenolic resin glues, the required temperature is relatively high, about 180 to 200 ° C. For urea-formaldehyde resin glues, higher temperatures can accelerate the curing. However, it can be cured smoothly at lower temperatures, and some factories use a temperature of 140 °C. The equipment used for hot pressing is called a hot press, and there are single and multi-lamination machines, periodic and continuous presses.
